The ALANA Leadership Retreat provides an opportunity for current leaders and for those thinking about assuming a leadership position to meet other leaders, share information about your organization, find common ground, and explore ways to work across cultural boundaries. Students also participate in leadership skill building workshops. The Retreat occurs at the beginning of the Spring semester.
Held in the Fall, the White Allies: Challenging Racism at Vassar is a day-long workshop for white student leaders or those who are thinking about assuming leadership positions to address issues of white privilege and racism here on campus. One major goal of this workshop is to explore what it means to be an ally and actively work to create a more equitable, diverse and inclusive campus.
