POUGHKEEPSIE, NY -- Candidates for the Dutchess County Legislature, the Town of Poughkeepsie Board, as well as for Dutchess County Comptroller and Highway Superintendent, will attend the first "Meet the Candidates" forum at Vassar College on Wednesday October 28, at 7:30 pm, in Rockefeller Hall room 300. The public is invited to this free event, which is co-sponsored by Vassar's Department of Political Science and ALANA Center (African American/Black, Latino, Asian American and Native American), and the Dutchess County Citizen Action Network (DCCAN).
Among the invited candidates, the following have confirmed their participation: Will Cass, Town of Poughkeepsie Board, Ward 5 (D); Steve Engelhardt, Dutchess County Highway Superintendent (D); Angela Flesland, Dutchess County Legislature, District 6 (R); Diane Jablonski, Dutchess County Comptroller (D); Gretchen Lieb, Dutchess County Legislature, District 6 (D); and Rob Rolison, Dutchess County Legislature, District 8 (R)
The candidates will initially discuss their platforms and ideas, followed by a question and answer exchange with the audience.
